Duke University Medical Center
Your donation at https://www.gifts.duke.edu/medfund?additional_designations=Brout%20Fund%... will help support our program to figure out new ways to help people whose difficulties processing sounds and other sensory information lead to significant problems with emotion regulation and daily life functioning. For example, we are currently building a program of research, clinical care, and clinical training around misophonia in adults. A contribution of any size is appreciated, and will help us reach our goals. Please feel free to contact Dr. Rosenthal (919-684-6702) to explore how your specific contribution will help. All contributions are used directly to conduct our research studies.
In addition, to honor the memory of our friend and colleague, Clark Rivinoja, M.Div., we have established an annual award to support a junior researcher in our program who is new to the science of psychology but has a passion for helping reduce emotional suffering. Like Clark, the recipient of this award will be generous with time, creative, and bring a unique sense of humor. Donations to our program (instructions below) can be designated specifically to support the annual Clark M. Rivinoja Award. The receipient will receive $500 to use towards advancing his/her training in the science of psychology.
We have set up a fund with the Duke Foundation for tax-exempt donations to be directed to our research program. If you have any questions about how to make a gift to support our program, or any specific requests for ways to use your gift, please email Dr. Rosenthal directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
